Greetings from Galveston’s Holiday Headquarters,

The Galveston Railroad Museum will host the popular family event, The POLAR EXPRESS Train Ride, November 8 – December 23, 2024, and this year we are offering opportunities for holiday parties. We have created several packages designed for company, friends or family festivities for you to consider. Polar Express seats go on sale August 1, members only, and general sales, August 22. Polar sells out early so we urge you to contact us as soon as possible if you choose to include the POLAR Express Train Ride in your party plans. Individual seats available online only. Guests may opt to reserve ½ car (32 seats) or an entire car (64 seats). Must call for availability and reservations. (409) 765-5700

Guests enjoy a magical holiday when the museum is transformed into a festive Christmas experience where guests enjoy photo ops from the depot to the courtyard. We twinkle with lights, fun, laughter and entertainment! Our Christmas party packages offer a choice of a vintage display railcar or the Exhibit Hall adjacent to the depot. An example of a party package may include beginning, or ending, with the Polar Express Train ride, and continue for cocktails and hors doeuvres (an hour before showtime if prior to ride). Guests enjoy access to the POLAR EXPRESS Gift shop for a commemorative item. Docents will guide your guests to the Train Depot to enjoy the show.

At the end of the POLAR EXPRESS journey, guests will meet Santa, take photos , enjoy dancers and entertainment at The North Pole, and then return to your party. Party plans are suitable for families and adults.
